UV rays are constantly damaging your skin, so it's important to reapply periodically. But how often do you really need to do it?
Why is relubrication necessary?
-
Physical and chemical degradation
Sunlight, sweat, water and friction gradually reduce the effectiveness of sunscreen, so the level of protection can be significantly weakened after just 2 hours.
-
Continuous exposure to UV rays
With every step you take, UV rays continue to arrive. Protection cannot be used as a one-time “resistance”. Continuous means that you have to reapply it about every 2 hours to maintain the sun protection.
-
Beach, pool, sports
Sunscreen comes off easily when swimming, sweating, or toweling off. In such cases, it should be reapplied immediately after water or sweating, ideally after drying your hands.
Recommended frequency of use
| Activity | When should we lubricate again? |
|---|---|
| Indoor, short walk | once in the morning |
| Time outside, walking | about every 2–3 hours |
| Bathing, toweling | immediately after, with wet hands |
| Sports, sweating | frequent repetition, hourly |
| Under makeup | sunscreen + makeup + reapply at noon |

How to use it correctly?
-
Use enough cream to cover the entire face and neck; 1-2 fingertip amounts (approx. 1 ml) are recommended.
-
Apply 20 minutes before sun exposure, this is how long it takes for the filters to form.
-
Repeat every two hours, especially if you are outdoors, bathing, or cleaning yourself.
-
If you wear makeup, it's a good idea to refresh it with powder or SPF spray around noon after applying sunscreen in the morning.
-
UV protection is not a one-time task, it needs to be reapplied about every two hours.
-
You will find a solution for every need in Maruderm's product range, whether it's hydration, radiance or reducing pigment spots.
-
Correct use: sufficient amount + timely reapplication = long-term skin protection.
